STONE TOWN
Stone Town is one of the main natural attractions of the Perm Region. Another name for these rocks is Chertovo Gorodishche. The locals usually refer to them as the Turtles.
Kamenny Gorodishche is famous for its bizarre rock outcrops, for which the place got its name. The rocks consist of fine-grained quartz sandstone. The rock massif is broken through by numerous deep cracks (up to 8-12 metres long). The width of the cracks varies from 1 to 8 metres. Because of this, the outlines of the rocks and cracks in them are very reminiscent of the houses and streets of an old, abandoned city.
